Does the $1,265 cover all expenses? No, the $1,265 covers the placement of one implant only. Attaching teeth in some fashion is a separate charge. The cost depends upon what is wanted. Additionally, if inadequate bone is present grafting and the use of PRP may be necessary. The cost of the grafting depends on the site and size of the surgical site. Additional charges may be incurred if a CAT scan is needed and for complicated cases, a computer generated surgical template. If I.V. sedation is wanted, there is an additional modest charge. Nonetheless, saving $735--$14,700 would go a long way towards helping with grafting fees or the fees associated with making the teeth.
I wish to replace only one tooth, what would that cost if I do not need grafting , extractions or PRP? A typical molar replacement is $2,790 and a typical front tooth replacement is $3,115, the difference being if the abutment ( the post that screws onto the implant, over which the final crown is cemented) is pre-manufactured or custom made.
Can you tell me over the phone how much my particular treatment would be? No, we can not. A diagnosis must first be made. . You would not wish to have heart surgery without first being examined would you? Implant treatment can be complex and demands an examination before an estimate is given.
If you have had a consultation with another implant dentist and you have received a detailed estimate (codes associated with each procedure and fee) , you could fax that estimate to Dr. Ollerton at 866-675-1401 and he could tell you what his fees are for that same code or treatment.
What payment options do I have? You can "pay as you go" or you can finance your treatment. Assuming that your credit is good, we have working relationships with finance companies who offer the opportunity for small monthly payments.
Why do I have to pay $154 to be seen by Dr. Ollerton? The average initial consultation takes over one hour. The $154 covers any x-rays (except a CAT Scan) , photos, models and charting which occurs at this appointment. This $154 helps cover some of the time and expense associated with implant consultations. If it were not charged, Dr. Ollerton would have to raise his other fees to cover this expense.
How painful is treatment? Discomfort is dependent upon what is done. Small procedures have minor discomfort. Single implant placement often allow the patient to immediately return to work. For those going through more extensive treatment pain medication is prescribed to allow patients to recover in comfort.
Dental treatment makes me nervous, can you help? For those who become anxious with dental treatment we have a variety of options for them: Laughing gas, sedation via oral medication or I.V. sedation (C.S. permit # 344).
